| Argentinean football referee Horacio Elizondo, who officiated the World Cup final between Italy and France in Germany last year, stayed at the Ramada Hotel while officiating some Qatar Football League matches. Elizondo is remembered by football fans for his sending off of French captain Zinedine Zidane for head butting Italian player Marco Materazzi in the chest during the final which Italy went on to win. |
